Meet the Junior Board

Taryn Siglain, President

Taryn Siglain is Executive Director and Head of Americas Collateral Optimization Trading Desk within Bank Resource Management at Morgan Stanley. Taryn holds a BS in Corporate Finance and Accounting from Bentley University. She first became involved with NAC through probono consulting work with the agency in 2014. Taryn joined the NAC Young Professionals in February 2015, becoming the Fundraising Co-Chair in September 2015, and is a founding member of the NAC Junior Board.

FUN FACT: Taryn lived in Budapest, Hungary for 6 months on a work assignment. During her time in Europe she was able to travel to more than 20 countries. Taryn continues to spend any time off from work exploring the world!

Allison Buck, Vice President

Allison Buck is an Associate at JLL where she serves as a commercial real estate advisor to all types of companies, ranging from nonprofits to financial services, in their search for office space in New York City. Allison holds a BBA in Finance and International Business from the George Washington University. Allison first became involved with NAC when she heard about the organization through her team at JLL, who worked with NAC to find and secure their office space in New York. After attending the annual gala, she was inspired to get involved. In 2019, Allison has been involved with NAC since 2019 as a member of the Junior Board..

FUN FACT: Allison studied abroad in Buenos Aires, Argentina for 6 months in college. She has a passion for travel and exploring new cultures and has had the opportunity to travel to more than 30 countries.

Gabby Giovanniello, Secretary

Gabby Giovanniello is the Head of Planning at Birchbox where she leads the omni-channel inventory management strategy. Gabby holds a BA in English from Bucknell University, and has been involved with NAC since 2019 as a member of the Junior Board. Gabby first became involved with the organization as part of the Birchbox Volunteer and Service group, after participating in the NAC Book Fair and NAC Olympics. She also serves as a Sophomore Writing & Critical Thinking Instructor for the New York City chapter of Minds Matter.

FUN FACT: Gabby spent 4 months living with a Swiss family outside Geneva for study abroad while in her junior year of college, where she honed her French and developed a taste for Raclette!

Frannie Ross
Frannie Ross, Treasurer

Frannie Ross is a Manager of Strategy & Revenue Cycle Operations at Pharmscript, one of the nation's leading long-term care pharmacies, where she is responsible for various strategic and operational projects related to growth and process improvement. Prior to joining Pharmscript, Frannie was in the Management Consulting group at KPMG, primarily working with financial services clients. Frannie holds a BS in Accounting and Business Analytics from Miami University of Ohio and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA). Frannie first became involved with NAC through Allison Buck. After attending the Night for NAC and looking for opportunities to get more involved, she joined as a member of the Junior Board in March 2020.

FUN FACT: Frannie loves cooking and trying new recipes, exploring restaurants around New York City, running, and playing tennis. Growing up, she was a ball girl at the Western & Southern tournament in Cincinnati, Ohio!

Usman Baig

Usman Baig is an Associate on the Special Investments Private Equity team at Brookfield Asset Management. Prior to his role at Brookfield, Usman worked as an investment analyst at CPP Investments in their Toronto and London offices. Usman holds a Bachelor's degree in Applied Economics and Mathematics from Queen's University. He has been involved with NAC since 2021 via his role on the NAC Junior Board. Usman also currently serves on the Youth Advisory Board of the Tourette Association of America and has served in previous youth leadership roles with Rotary International and the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

FUN FACT: Usman has lived in five countries throughout his life and speaks three languages fluently.

Thomas Birmingham

Thomas Birmingham is a Vice President in Citi's Not-for-Profit Health Care Investment Banking Group, where he supports capital markets transactions and M&A advisory mandates for a range of health care providers, including multi-state health systems, regional health systems, academic medical centers, and community hospitals. Thomas holds a BS in Business Management and a BA in Economics from Stony Brook University. He joined the NAC Junior Board in 2019, and also serves on the Junior Board of Mount Sinai Adolescent Health Center and volunteers with MedShare, an international humanitarian aid organization.

FUN FACT: Thomas started playing the drums in 2nd grade and hasn't missed an opportunity since to keep his family, friends, and neighbors entertained...and awake at all hours of the night!

Hanna Cannell

Hanna Cannell is a Senior Account Executive at Grey Group where she manages the Canon U.S.A. and LongHorn Steakhouse accounts. Hanna moved to New York City after graduating from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a BS in Advertising. Hanna first became involved with NAC when she started working at Grey Group in 2017. From stuffing backpacks for a Back-to-School event, to becoming the liaison for organizing all Grey volunteer groups for annual NAC events, Hanna has developed an unwavering passion and commitment to helping NAC. Hanna is refreshing Grey's community service group "Grey Gives Back" and NAC will be an integral organization for employees to volunteer, provide pro bono marketing services, and more.

FUN FACT: Besides being able to eat an entire large pizza in record-breaking time, a fun fact about Hanna is that she enjoys being a "pet photographer" on the side to help animals in foster homes get high-quality photos to help with their adoption.

Emmanuel Charles

Emmanuel Charles is Associate Counsel, Business and Legal Affairs at ViacomCBS, Inc. At ViacomCBS, Emmanuel participates in scripted and unscripted production and branded deals for BET Networks. Prior to joining ViacomCBS, Emmanuel was a private equity/M&A associate at Weil, Gotshal and Manges LLP where he participated in the representation of private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies with respect to mergers, acquisitions and divestitures. Emmanuel received his J.D from Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University and his B.S from City University of New York - Baruch College. Emmanuel has been involved with NAC since November 2020 as a junior board member and has a passion for giving back to vulnerable communities in and around New York City.

FUN FACT: Emmanuel is a lifelong Brooklynite who's interested in travel, music and New York Knicks basketball.

Kyle Cohen

Kyle Cohen is an Associate at Prime Finance where he is responsible for commercial real estate loan origination. Kyle holds a BA in Economics and a BS in Human & Organizational Development from Vanderbilt University. Kyle has been involved with NAC since September 2017 as a member of the Junior Board.

FUN FACT: Kyle is an avid record collector with more than 300 (and counting) records.

Ashley Davis

Ashley Davis is the Educational Director of the Park Slope Schoolhouse, a non-profit early childhood program, and she is an Adjunct Professor at Queens College Department of Elementary and Early Childhood Education. Ashley holds a BS in Child and Family Studies from Syracuse University, a Masters of Arts in Early Childhood Special Education from New York University, and a Masters in Administration/Supervision from Hunter College. Her passion for working with children and families began as a young adult when she coached the Special Olympics Swim Team and took them to the World Games.

FUN FACT: Ashley has an adorable Cavapoo puppy who was featured in a recent Vogue Magazine issue that was dedicated to animals.

Nick Deering

Nick Deering is an Analyst on the Prime Brokerage Sales team at Wells Fargo Securities where he focuses on the greater Northeastern region. Nick holds a BS in Business Administration from the University of Florida. He became involved with NAC in 2017 when he had the opportunity to dress as Santa Clause and give out presents to NAC children.

FUN FACT: In 2017, Nick traveled to Pamplona, Spain where he participated in the Running of the Bulls tradition during the Festival of San Fermin.

Alex Feltman

Alex Feltman is a Senior in the audit & assurance practice at Mazars, engaged primarily with real estate entities and non-profit organizations. Alex holds a BS in Accounting from Lehigh University. He is also a registered CPA in New York. Alex has been involved with NAC since the fall of 2018, when NAC was a client of Mazars'. Alex has long been passionate about helping children, a value instilled by his mother, who is an SEIT, and his brother, a vice-principal who has worked for the NYC DoE for nearly 20 years.

FUN FACT: Alex is a native New Yorker, born and raised on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. His desire to give back to the broader New York City community is one of the things which most attracted him to NAC.

Kristen Focella

Kristen Focella is Vice President of Investment Banking and Global Capital Markets Rewards & Analytics in Human Resources at Morgan Stanley. Kristen has been at Morgan Stanley since 2012 and has had roles in Corporate Treasury - Liquidity Management and Capital Planning, Corporate Compensation, and Client Financing Strategy. She holds a BS in Finance and Operations & Information Management from Georgetown University McDonough School of Business. Kristen was inspired to join the NAC Junior Board after attending several Night for NAC events. Kristen leads the Morgan Stanley JKO High School partnership for the NYC Mentoring Program. She has volunteered for her alma mater through the Alumni Admissions Program, Hoya Gateway, and Host a Hoya.

FUN FACT: Kristen loves being active and has run 3 marathons - New York City in 2015, Marine Corps in 2018, and Boston in 2019. She ran the Boston Marathon, her favorite marathon, for the Michael Lisnow Respite Center.

Tim Freydberg

Tim Freydberg is a Vice President in CBRE's midtown office, where he focuses on tenant and landlord representation in Manhattan. Prior to joining CBRE, Tim was a Director at the Vortex Group and a Vice President at NSNYRE. Tim, his wife Jaclyn, and their 7 lb Pomeranian live in New York City and enjoy going to the beach, traveling, and helping NAC kids as much as they can.

FUN FACT: Tim enjoys exploring the diverse culinary landscape of New York City, and will try anything...except salmon!

Allie Genghini

Allie Genghini is a Senior Fund Accountant at Terra Capital Partners. Allie holds a BS in Accounting from SUNY Geneseo and an MS in Accounting from St. John's University. She is a New York State Certified Public Accountant. As a new member of the NAC Junior Board, Allie is excited to advocate and help children in need.

FUN FACT: Allie loves to travel and explore new places. She recently traveled to Japan for her honeymoon.

Rebecca Gevertz

Rebecca Gevertz is a Fund Manager for the Department of Medicine at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Rebecca previously worked as a Senior Analyst, Supply Chain for the Greater New York Hospital Association. Rebecca holds a BA in Biology and Public Health from Brown University. She has been involved with NAC since 2000, joined the NAC Young Professionals in 2015, and now serves on the Junior Board.

FUN FACT: Rebecca is an avid Boston Red Sox fan, despite both growing up and continuing to live in New York.

Nicole Glon

Nicole Glon is an Account Executive at Rockerbox where she works on the Media Ad-Tech arm of the business. She is responsible for media sales and managing customer accounts. Nicole holds a BA in Public Relations from Pennsylvania State University. Nicole has been involved with NAC since January 2021 when she joined the Junior Board. She first became involved with NAC by going to the Spring Gala. Prior to NAC, Nicole worked at the National Kidney Foundation when she first moved to NYC in 2015 where she started getting involved in philanthropy. Most recently she helped kick start the Rockerteer Committee at her current company where she leads in planning philanthropic activities throughout the year for her company.

FUN FACT: Nicole was the Captain of the Penn State Fencing team in 2014 when they won the National Championship!

Elliott Gluck

Elliott Gluck is an Associate at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP where his practice focuses on private equity fund formation and management. Prior to his time at Simpson Thacher, Elliott worked at the child advocacy nonprofit First Focus, covering a range of children's issues including education, healthcare and child nutrition. He holds a JD from the University of Michigan and a BA in History and Political Science from Northwestern University. Elliott has been involved with NAC since January 2021 as a Junior Board Member.

FUN FACT: Elliott has a passion for cooking and enjoys exploring his family's Italian culinary traditions.

Emily Gutman

Emily Gutman is a Social Impact MBA candidate at Boston University's Questrom School of Business. Prior to attending graduate school, Emily worked in the Risk Assurance practice at PricewaterhouseCoopers with a focus in Entertainment, Media and Communications. Emily holds a BS in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from the University of Vermont. Emily joined NAC in 2017 and is excited to continue her involvement.

FUN FACT: Emily has been skiing since she was three years old, and was a ski instructor at Sugarbush Resort in Vermont.

Alexis Hart

Alexis Hart is Director of Digital Content at Borghese and founder of RandomActsofLipstick.com, where she curates content about beauty brands and influencers who give back. Alexis holds a BA in Sociology from Bucknell University. She has been involved with NAC since 2009, and is a founding member and former fundraising chair for the NAC Young Professionals. Alexis is also a volunteer at the Coalition for the Homeless and fosters pups through Social Tees Animal Rescue.

FUN FACT: Alexis rarely leaves her apartment without the perfect red lipstick and SPF 30+.

Andrew Hosbein

Andrew Hosbein is currently a first-year MBA Candidate at The Wharton School (University of Pennsylvania) in the Health Care Management program. Previously, he was an Associate at Avista Capital Partners, a healthcare-focused private equity firm, where he focused on evaluating investment opportunities across pharmaceuticals, medical devices, outsourced pharmaceutical services, distribution, and consumer-driven healthcare subsectors. Andrew holds a BBA in Finance, with a minor in Chinese language and culture, from the University of Notre Dame. He has been involved with NAC since April 2019 and is also a membership of the Special Olympics New York Leadership Council.

FUN FACT: Andrew speaks Mandarin and French, has played piano since 3rd grade, and is looking forward to returning to New York after earning his MBA.

Timothy Kahrs

Timothy Kahrs is a Manager of Risk Advisory Services at Dixon Hughes Goodman and has more than 11 years of experience in the financial services industry. Timothy specializes in business development, front-to-back office transformation, technology optimization, financial analysis, and regulatory compliance. He holds a BS in Financial Economics from Binghamton University, and has volunteered with New York Cares and the Movember Foundation.

FUN FACT: While in college, Tim was a member of the Harpur's Ferry Ambulance Corp., serving as an EMT-Basic for three years.

Bryan Kozin

Bryan Kozin is an Associate at Lindsay Goldberg where he is focused on creating partnerships with entrepreneurs and founders to build businesses. Prior to his role with Lindsay Goldberg, Bryan was an investor at CI Capital Partners, a middle-market private equity firm focused on working with entrepreneurs to transform small- and medium-sized companies into market leaders. He started his career in Bank of America Merrill Lynch's investment banking division. Bryan holds a BSBA in in Finance from Elon University. Bryan has been involved with NAC since 2020 via his role on the NAC Junior Board. He also serves on the Junior Board of The Bridge and volunteers with iMentor and NYPACE

FUN FACT: Bryan is an avid traveler and has traveled to 6 continents.

Joseph Lane

Joseph Lane is an Account Manager at ESPN. He works in linear advertising dealing with household brand names across multiple industries. Joseph holds a BS in Strategic Communications & Marketing from Miami University. Joseph has been involved with NAC since February of 2021 and got involved through the NAC Junior Board Treasurer, Frannie Ross!

FUN FACT: Joseph's most exhilarating experience was skydiving the Swiss Alps.

Jennifer Lee

Jen Lee is an Associate at Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe, a healthcare & technology-focused private equity firm, where she focuses on evaluating new investment opportunities across these industries. Prior to WCAS, she was an Analyst at Evercore in their Media M&A group. Jen holds a B.S. in Finance and a minor in Technology & Management from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Jen joined the NAC Junior Board in 2020 after hearing about the organization from former colleagues at Evercore. She is involved with the SEO Alternative Investments Fellowship Program and Girls Who Invest.

FUN FACT: Jen's hobbies include exploring NYC's exciting restaurant scene and binging NY Times crossword puzzles.

Maria Makar

Maria Makar is an Associate at Kobre & Kim LLP, where she represents individuals and corporations in complex commercial litigations. Maria holds a JD from Harvard Law School and a B.S. in Political Science from the University of Iowa. She joined NAC as a member of the Junior Board in November 2020.

FUN FACT: Maria has lived in four different cities in the past four years.

Amanda Manthey

Amanda Manthey is an Account Associate at PIMCO, where she manages client relationships and focuses on helping financial advisors navigate the economy and investments. She is also an active member of the volunteer organization, PIMCO Foundation, and is on the planning committee for Global Volunteer Week and Take your Kids to Work day. Amanda holds a BS in Finance and Marketing from Lehigh University. She joined the NAC Junior Board in 2018 and currently serves as the head of the Volunteering Committee.

FUN FACT: Amanda owns her own photography businesss, specializing in maternity, children, and posed newborn images.

Tania Matsuoka

Tania Matsuoka is an Associate in the Securities Litigation group at Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP, where her practice focuses on securities fraud class actions, shareholder derivative suits, litigation arising from mergers and acquisitions, and internal investigations. Tania holds a JD from Georgetown, and a BA in Public Communications from American University. She joined NAC as a member of the Junior Board in August 2019.

FUN FACT: Tania was a competitive figure skater for over 10 years.

Christopher McGrath

Christopher McGrath is an Assistant Vice President at the Blackstone Group in their secondary private equity fund family, Strategic Partners. Christopher oversees the investor relations team with a focus on fund raises. Prior to Blackstone, he worked at Credit Suisse from 2008 until 2013 in the Asset Management group. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications from Iona College. Christopher has been involved with NAC since February of 2019. He heard about NAC and the Junior Board through Robert Kaplan, who was a former colleague at Credit Suisse.

FUN FACT: Christopher is an avid fan of music going to about twenty shows each year and amassing a large and eclectic album collection that his saint of a wife tolerates. Additionally, he is a keen reader of history and literature in general, a trait attributed to his father's work in the publishing industry for over thirty years.

Leanna Nazzisi

Leanna Nazzisi is the Manager of Customer Operations and Communications at Birchbox. She helps facilitate the relationship between customers and Birchbox's cross-teams, and all engagements are delivered with the best-in-class service, friendliness and professionalism. Leanna attended college at St. John's University and City University of New York at Queens College, studying in Theoretical and Mathematical Physics. Leanna first became involved with NAC through organizing the Birchbox team to donate and volunteer during the NAC Book Fair and NAC Olympics.

FUN FACT: Leanna loves musical theatre and has won 4 Broadway musical ticket lotteries in less than one year!

Bailey Pearce

Bailey Pearce is a Process Engineer in the Luxury division of L'Oreal, managing capital projects for new product integrations. Bailey holds a BSE in Chemical Engineering with a minor in German from the University of Michigan, and recently acquired her Green Belt Certification in Lean Six Sigma. Bailey has been involved with NAC since July 2019 as a Junior Board Member, and learned about NAC through the Night for NAC event.

FUN FACT: Bailey loves to sail, and can often be found on Sunday afternoons in the summer cruising New York Harbor with friends.

Ryan Sidawi

Ryan Sidawi is an Associate in JP Morgan's Capital Strategy Group, where he supports the Corporate and Investment Bank in driving strategic initiatives related to regulatory mandates, primarily in capital and liquidity. Ryan holds a BS in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from the University of Florida. He joined the NAC Junior Board in 2020, and also serves on the Junior Board of BoardAssist and volunteers with New York Cares.

FUN FACT: Ryan is an avid traveler and has been to over 60 countries. Throughout his childhood and during service in the U.S Air Force, he lived in Puerto Rico, Sicily, Hawaii, Germany and Iraq.

Arvind Singh

Arvind Singh is a Manager with Dixon, Hughes, & Goodman LLP in the area of Risk Advisory. He has held positions at HomeServe, AIG, and Alliance Bernstein. He holds an MBA in Finance and Management from Fordham, and an MS in Economic Development Via Sustainable Tourism from Boston University. He has been involved with NAC since 2009 as a volunteer, and was a member of the NAC Young Professionals.

FUN FACT: Arvind is a huge Yankees fan and has been lucky enough to attend several memorable playoff games since 1996.

Tanner Stanley

Tanner Stanley is an Associate in the Securities Litigation group at Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP, where his practice focuses on securities fraud class actions, shareholder derivative suits, litigation arising from mergers and acquisitions, and SEC or other regulatory investigations. Tanner holds a JD from Osgoode Hall Law School and a BA in Political Science from McGill University. Tanner joined NAC as a member of the Junior Board in October 2020.

FUN FACT: Tanner has a background working in public relations and marketing, focusing on luxury lifestyle brands.

Joshua Stein

Joshua Stein is a Senior Manager at Deloitte & Touche where he is responsible for providing accounting, financial, and M&A structuring and transaction advisory services to private equity and strategic buyers and sellers. Josh earned his Bachelor of Business Administration and Master of Science in Accounting degrees from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. He is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. After attending the NAC Annual Gala, Josh was moved by the organization's mission which is what inspired him to get involved. Josh has been a member of NAC's Junior Board since early 2021.

FUN FACT: Josh's hobbies include spending time with family and friends, watching sports, traveling, and exploring new places.

Noelle Trongone

Noelle is the Manager for the Pediatric Neurosurgery Service Line at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital. In this role, she aims to increase the breadth and depth of services available to patients and families, and ensures they are getting the best possible care. Previously, she held positions in the Oncology Service Line and Patient Experience departments at NewYork-Presbyterian. Noelle holds a BA in Spanish from Georgetown University and an MBA from the New York University Leonard N. Stern School of Business. Noelle has been involved with NAC since December of 2020 as a member of the Junior Board after learning about the organization's work through former classmate and NAC Junior Board member Kristen Focella's fundraising efforts. Having worked in healthcare for nearly 10 years and having seen first-hand the complexities that even the most well-resourced families face in navigating the healthcare system, supporting NAC and its mission is something she feels truly passionate about. Noelle currently serves as a member of the Georgetown Alumni Admissions Program interviewing incoming undergraduate candidates, and has also served as a mentor through Big Brothers Big Sisters of New York City.

FUN FACT: Noelle has always had a passion for baking which continues today through her cookbook club. During college, she worked at the original Georgetown Cupcake store before they launched their reality show on TLC!

Shelagh Wong

Shelagh Wong is currently Vice-President, Asia Pacific and Travel Retail at Korres Skincare. Previously, Shelagh was at the Estee Lauder Companies under the BECCA Cosmetics brand, on the International team at the company's global corporate headquarters, the Strategy and Operations group at Archstone Consulting (now the Hackett Group), the Operations Strategy Consulting team at Accenture, and the Hydration Business Unit at the Coca-Cola COmpanies. Previously, Shelagh was Executive Director, Global Commercial Strategy at BECCA Cosmetics, an Estee Lauder Companies portfolio brand. She holds a Master of Business Administration from Cornell University, a Masters in Marketing Management from FIT as part of a fellowship from the Estee Lauder Companies, and a Bachelor of Science from the Rutgers University honors program. Shelagh's first involvement with NAC began with volunteering at the NAC Olympics & Kids Carnival in June 2019. She has also volunteered with APEX for Youth, Publicolor, KEEN New York, Womankind, New York Cares, the Ronald McDonald House, and Project Sunshine.

FUN FACT: The first time Shelagh traveled to South Africa, she sustained an injury inflicted by the sharp tooth of a lion cub.

Hillary Wool

Hillary Wool is a Project Leader at Boston Consulting Group, where she works within the Healthcare, Consumer, and Education practices, primarily on large scale organizational transformations. Hillary holds an MBA with Dean's Honors from Columbia Business School,an MS in Education from Fordham, and a BA cum laude with High Honors from Dartmouth. Recently diagnosed with a chronic illness/disability herself, she views serving on the NAC Junior Board as an ideal way to combine her longstanding passion for educational equity with a desire to support young people navigating serious medical conditions. Hillary leads various diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives at BCG, and was a former volunteer board leader and mentor with America Needs You.

FUN FACT: Hillary enjoys cycling and skiing, and has completed multiple 60+ mile charity bike rides.
